The Play

A powerful drama that focuses on life, relationships and memory. It centres on the main character attending a funeral. A mixture of dark comedy and tragedy, the play explores how our actions can have life-long consequences. Adult theme.

The Group

The Ray Leonard Players was established to honour and perpetuate the memory of the late, great Ray Leonard, who was synonymous with drama in Claremorris throughout his life. Ray was a director, producer and mentor who made an outstanding contribution to drama, musicals and stagecraft. The group hopes to continue Ray’s great reputation in the drama world.



About the Author

Carl Nuzum is an amateur actor with Coolgreany Drama Group, in County Wexford. He has performed on the circuit many times since he began acting in 2013. A Night Without Stars is his second play and it was written during the five-week lockdown for Covid19. In 2021, A Night Without Stars competed in the Open section of the circuit and qualified for the All-Ireland Finals in Ennis.
