The Play

Father doesn't like immigrants. He has just spent three months in prison, arrested for breach of the peace at a protest. The hostel he was protesting burned down when he was in prison. His son doesn't approved of his Dad's views, or his actions. Now that he is home, he is determined to have it out with him. A powerful new play examining a fractured family and the fractured society that is Ireland today.

The Group

Established in the Isaac Butt Hall in 1959, and based in the Balor Arts Centre (a part of the art facility situated in the Twin Towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar in County Donegal), we are an amateur drama club which has expanded its remit considerably. Apart from its own amateur drama, musical and Panto productions, we regularly participate in regional and national drama festivals. Our recent successes include winning the 2021 All Ireland Open One Act Finals and 2nd place Open at the 2023 All Ireland One Act Finals.
